Making homeowners happy has been my life’s work. As a 3rd-generation craftsman, I started working on homes as early as 13 years old.
So I was shocked when I started my own window replacement company back in 2014 that a window didn’t exist on the market that checked all of the boxes that our customers were looking for.
They wanted a beautiful, energy-efficient window that was sleek, secure, and that functioned in a way that fit their lifestyle – without breaking the bank.
My team and I looked everywhere for the right window. From big box stores to high-priced designers and manufacturers, we never could really find the right fit.
So I approached one of the best window manufacturers, about creating a window that fit the exact specifications that our customers were looking for.
After a lot of research, trial, and testing, we were really proud to finally go to market with the ThermaLast™ Window.
This window ended up being the most energy-efficient double-pane window on the market. With its air-tight construction and superior durability, the ThermaLast™ Window stands up to its name.
As you continue below, you’ll see the many details that go into this window. But the most important element for me is the pleasure it brings homeowners when they have a window that looks the way they want and functions the way they need.
I’m pleased to share the ThermaLast™ Window with you, and it’s my hope that it surpasses all of your expectations.

Measured on a scale of 0 and 1, with lower numbers being better, the average Air Infiltration rating for today’s most popular double pane windows is 0.20 and 0.30.
ThermaLast Windows have an Air Infiltration rating of 0.02 and 0.01. That’s 15X more than the industry standard!
U-Factor is measured on a scale between 0 and 1. The lower a window’s U-Factor, the less heat and energy you will lose through your windows.
ThermaLast Windows have a U-Factor between 0.22 and 0.24, lowest of any double pane on the market!
Like U-Factor, SHGC is measured between 0 and 1. The lower the SHGC, the better the window blocks solar heat.
ThermaLast Windows lead all double panes on the market in this category with a SHGC of 0.19 and 0.21!
The R-Value is a measure of resistance to heat flow through a window. The higher the window’s R-Value is rated, the better it insulates against heat loss.
ThermaLast’s 23.20 R-Value is better than other vinyl foam-filled windows and most walls inside your home.
“We had our windows and new sliders put in around February. They have made a HUGE difference when it came to the winter cold and saving us money with our gas bill. More importantly they look amazing!”
The ThermaLast™ Window is made using glass from Cardinal Glass Industries - the world's leading glass manufacturer.
You insulate the rest of your home’s exteriors - your windows should be insulated, too! You’ll stay comfortable thanks to ThermaLast™ frames being injected with special polyurethane foam insulation.
Talk about cutting edge! The same Low-E coating that is applied to smartphones and tablets is applied to the interior of your windows. This helps them resist scratches and keeps heat from escaping your home in the winter.
ThermaLast™ Windows are sealed with 50% more weatherstripping than other windows.
You’re sure to find the perfect color combination that will make your home’s exterior shine and its interior sparkle. (To start picking out your style right now, click here.)
ThermaLast™ Window’s sleek design lets more light into your home and helps you see more of the outdoors with 27% more viewing area.
This feature can be critical when you need to keep an eye on your pets or children playing outside.
Some of your neighbors’ new windows may have thick, bulky screens that are hard to see through. Not your ThermaLast™ Windows! You have the option of equipping them with OptiView™ screens with finer threading. This gives you a clearer view of the outdoors while increasing your airflow AND insect protection.
You can choose PetTough™ Screens to keep even your smallest loved ones from getting too close for comfort with your new window screens.
You’ll rest easy knowing your ThermaLast™ windows have a recessed locking system so that they’re pick-resistant.
ThermaLast™ Windows use Solar Clean® self-cleaning glass. This special technology uses the sun’s UV rays to break down dirt and debris so that every day in your home is a bright, shiny day!

With over 30 years of serving homeowners, ThermaLast™ Founder John Kolbaska has learned how a job is done right – and unfortunately, he’s had to help clean up the mess when a job is done wrong.
Too often, homeowners find themselves victim to contractors who bait them with a superior product, but then short-change them on the installation process.
That will never happen with ThermaLast™ Windows. This is because the only contractors who are authorized to sell and install ThermaLast™ Windows are those who follow the Thermal Break 60 Installation System designed by John Kolbaska himself.
When you choose ThermaLast™, you know you’re not only getting a superior product, but a superior installation as well.
